Client Overview: AMDA is the industry association representing private decentralized utility companies and minigrid developers in Africa.
Project overview: The MEAP OGMDF project provides funding to o-ff grid solar (OGS) companies in Malawi. The OGMDF consists of a USD 14 million debt window and a USD 6 million RBF grant window. The project will provide renewable energy to over 200,000 households.AMDA has over 12 members in Kenya and Tanzania, which have been affected by recent policy and regulatory developments in both markets. AMDA engages with governments to develop conducive regulatory environments and policies for public-private collaboration.
